On this job, in Colts Neck NJ. we were called to do some work on an existing room. The owners, Chris & Kathy Hoeker, wanted the room
updated. The room was an addition to the house before they bought it. Upon removing the T1-11 from the interior, they found that the room was
poorly insulated. They wanted us to re-insulate and sheetrock the room. They also showed me a picture of a fireplace from a magazine, and asked
if I could build one just like that for them. I, of course, said "yes". It was a real challange, with there being no prints or details of any kind to
work from. After many pieces of yellow scrap paper, and pencil drawings on pieces of wood, we finally finished the fireplace. The cultured stone
was a challange also because we blended two kinds of stone to get the true feel of the picture. On this page, I'm not going to put pictures of the
insulation or sheetrock, just the painstaking process of building this fireplace from a picture.
As always click on each picture to enlarge.
This is the frame started after we had the fireplace set.
The hearth was a challange to get the radius perfect.
The chimney stack had to go through the cieling and onto the roof.
The framing is now complete and the sheetrock can begin.

The sheetrock is finished. You can start to see the picture coming together.
The wire mesh was installed and I just finished the scratch coat.
You can see the picture I had. I kept it iclose to me at all times.
The cultured stone is now almost finished.
